Learning and Understanding the Business around Virtual Worlds

Jean Miller | Head of German Market Development

Linden Lab

Description

We will discuss the scalability and constraints of existing systems, which have great potential, as well as issues with flagging corporate budgets and a general uncertainty about how to effectively use word-of-mouth marketing (sometimes referred to as crowdsourcing or the amplification of messages by your most passionate consumers.) Linden Lab offers a trendsetting and innovative technology to companies who want to enter Second Life (the GRID technology, voice chat, 24/7 support etc.). What has Linden Lab learned from the last two years? What do companies need to make their engagement in SL a success? Hear examples of success stories, and what we are learning about which marketing actions have proved to be successful/unsuccessful.
