An independant media scene has emerged in Second Life including Ingame newspapers and magazines, radio stations and even independant TV stations. This roundtabe talk presents the representatives from the most important ingame media and their colleagues from real life. They will discuss what relevance the media in Virtual Worlds has today and how they will develop in the future.

Markus Bokowsky is managing director of Bokowsky + Laymann GmbH. For more than 10 years Markus is occupied with the capabilities of online media in marketing communication. Since 2006 Bokowsky + Laymann are offering services for Second Life as one of the first companies in the German speaking world. Since that time Bokowsky + Laymann has established itself as one of the leading providers in this area.

Introduction
Christian Maier (SL Walt Stevenson) is a graduate of Henri-Nannen-School and a free author and TV producer in Berlin. He and Lutz Deckwerth had the idea of creating a TV channel for Second Life. Together with the L4 Institute for digital communication in Berlin and the trade fair construction company Ideea the two journalists have started the first real TV channel in Second Life: Life 4-U - research, production and broadcasting is exclusively in Second Life.

Introduction
Peter Vignold is editor-in-chief of SLM – Das Second Life Magazin, the monthly print periodical für Second Life Users. Since the beginning of the Nineties he worked for several media and culture related publications, as a freelancer and columnist as well as an editor. As musician, freelance web designer and media/video producer he gained valuable insight into the creative aspects of the media world as well. In summer 2007 he started preparing the launch of SLM – Das Second Life Magazin which premiered in November 2007 and as the first monthly print periodical deals with the different facets of the complex life within the virtual world of Second Life and quickly became an integral part of the German SL Community.
