Description

Second Life has grown exponentially in the last year particularly in Europe. The resident population has increased, the user created content has grown significantly and Second Life has proved to be an effective tool for bringing organizations and individuals together from around the world to communicate in an immersive environment not only via text but with integrated voice functionality. Second Life is a platform for entrepreneurial business models, non-profit initiatives, special interest communities, educators as well as established businesses and brands. With growth, come great challenges for Linden Lab. What is Second Life going to look like in a few months? What are Linden Lab’s ideas and plans? Which technical innovations can be expected? What is the future of virtual worlds? Jean Miller, Director of International Initiatives at Linden Lab, will answer these questions and talk about the future of Second Life.
