Michael Thumann is Chief Security Officer and Head of the ERNW "Research" and "Pen-Test" Teams. He has already published various security advisories on subjects such as 'Cracking IKE Preshared Keys' and Buffer Overflows in Web Servers/VPN Software/VoIP Software. He is the author of several specialist articles and white papers on various IT security topics and, in 2005, published the first-ever German Pentest book which German universities now recommended as essential reading on this subject. Besides his work as security consultant and researcher, Michael is a regular guest speaker around the world on international conferences such as Blackhat, Hackinthebox, Sector and the RSA Security Conference on current security topics.
