Virtual Worlds now have a place on Earth: Welcome to Metaverse 08 Real World
The Metaverse 08 is the premier European event for Virtual Worlds. The people in this novel escape regularly to the Metaversum – a mixture of the internet and MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), where they move through avatars. The concept of the Metaversum, as it is described in the novel, is an important inspiration for virtual worlds such as Second Life.
